    An Evening with Noreen Harrington
    Integrity in the Planning Field

Noreen Harrington, the former Goldman Sachs executive who became a legendary whistleblower in 2003 when she alerted then-NY Attorney General Elliot Spitzer of illegal trading by top mutual fund companies, and assisted in investigations that ultimately exposed and convicted Bernard Madoff of illegal trading, will be our featured speaker at the Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida's dinner meeting at Vi at Bentley Village.

Today, Ms. Harrington is President of an Artificial Intelligence company called MondoBrain, and continues to work on private investment with Oceanus Partners.

During her 30-year career, Ms. Harrington became a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, Head of Hedge Funds and Non-Dollar Sales in the Fixed Income Division Globally, Co-Head of Barclays Capital Fixed Income Trading, and a member of the Management Committee. She has worked with MD Sass on the distribution and management of a Fund of Hedge Funds in a joint venture with Alternative Institutional Partners, LLC (AIP), where she served as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. She was also an Advisor to AAM (Alternative Asset Managers), LP, a private investment boutique with primary focus on providing seed capital to start-up hedge fund managers. Ms. Harrington has built two investment platforms for the owners of the NY Mets and for the owners of the Hartz Mountain Group. She served as the CIO specializing in the funding of Hedge Funds.

Ms. Harrington is more publicly recognized as the whistlerblower in the mutual fund scandals. Her efforts led to the end of late trading and market timing abuses and created industry reforms that benefit and protect an estimated 95 million investors. To date there has been over $5 billion in fines collected by various government agencies.
