Volunteer Opportunities

Members of the FPA of SWFL are encouraged to help neighbors in need through volunteerism. The FPA of SWFL Pro Bono Team connects passionate financial planning practitioners to individuals and families in need who live in Southwest Florida. Every year, our chapter and its members work with several local human service agencies to provide one-on-one, no-strings-attached pro bono financial planning advice, classes and consultative services. Since 2014, CFP members, colleagues and FGCU Finance student volunteers have led a 4-week Financial Literacy workshop during the Spring for parents of youth program participants at Grace Place for Children & Families in Golden Gate (Collier County). In Lee County, FPA members provide basic financial planning assistance through the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee Counties Mission United program, which helps local United States active military veterans and their families.
